When I first met Tara, I knew I wanted to be a part of their wedding. I met her and her mom at the Boonsboro Starbucks and we had such a fun chat. It felt like I was with friends. I was so excited to take photos for them at their beautiful September wedding at Boonsboro Country Club. This photo literally represents the most perfect September sky. After their gorgeous ceremony, we were able to slip away for some bride and groom portraits. The weather was perfect and the sun set at the perfect time for us to be able to capture this. What I really love is how natural the moment is. I strive for natural emotion. I simply told them where to stand and backed up and let them have their moment. It resulted in an amazing series of silhouette images. This Lynchburg country club offers so many amazing backdrops for photos. Many people have asked me if the sky in this photo is real, and it is. I love shooting silhouettes and when the timing works out and the sun just does its thing, they offer a new element to your wedding album. This is most definitely one of my most favorite silhouette images I have ever taken.
